Josh's first book
A tale of fiction from Joshua (5). This recently came home from Kindergarten. His spelling is improving all the time, but I will still translate.

I am playing inside and outside, by Josh Fails

I am outside

I am outside standing in the show[er]

I am talking to my friend

I am juggling balls.

In a castle I was walking in the halls.

I saw a fairy flying, Dad yelled.

I'm sure a child psychologist could explain the significance of me being bright red and yelling, but I'm not sure I want to know. I'm just pleased I made it into the story!! Of course, this goes into the keepsake box, but I wanted to keep it here, too.

That's wonderful! I still have the books that my kids made in kindergarten. It's so much fun to see their progress and how they think words are spelled.

I remember my son made a book, and in it he drew me yelling into the phone with a really big mouth and theose mad eyebrows that they draw. I was sure his teachers thought I was a total witch!

Our current favorites are C's alphabet books. Q was really neat. Apparently C and I quorel from time to time. We can't always agree on everything though. I'm never red though, I'm always green as that's my favorite color.
I want to save that stuff forever.

Not only is that the cutest, but it's also hilarious! He spells "outside" a different way on every page and why in the world is he outside in the shower? hehe I love it...thanks for putting it here where those of us not fortunate enough at the moment to be there to touch it can see it.

It appears he is wearing purple shirt and hat, so maybe he meant RAIN!?! Who knows what goes through a 5-year-old's mind?
