Yard work continues... drivel (skip it)
Last night I went to Lowe's and bought a new chain and a sharpener for the chainsaw and now I'm READY, again. After having it serviced and sharpened a couple of weeks ago, it was cutting quite well till I got to the last ivy covered red tip tree behind the pool. As I cut and cut on the trunk near the ground, I couldn't figure out why it was taking so long. Suddenly I saw sparks coming off the blade near the trunk and stopped. I dug into the ivy with my hands and discovered a half a brick that was jammed up against the tree for no apparent reason. It had a corner gnawed off where all the chainsaw teeth had left their sharp edges. After that, I soon gave up because it was like cutting wood with a butter knife.

So, NOW the trees in the back yard are in TROUBLE, because I have TWO blades AND a sharpener! Don't hold me back. I'm out.

P.S. Entries like this one are for my own sake, and not to enthrall any readers out there. Sorry for the interruption to your day! As you were.
