A quick and easy one for the night...
As much as I love Firefox over Microsoft's Internet Explorer browswer, there are times when a site just doesn't look right or just won't run like it should in FF. For those times, this add-on, called IE View, allows you to right click on the page and load it in Internet Explorer. There is also an option to "Always load this page in IE" if you know it is a problem site for FF.

As before, you need the Firefox browser installed and open, then go HERE to install IE View. Restart your browser after installing in order for the add-on to work.

I know, it isn't much, but it's good to have when you run into a page where you need it!

It's funny. I installed FF onto our iMac immediately when I discovered that animated gifs don't work so well in Safari. And I just don't use IE on general principle.
I like animated gifs. If user pics could be just a little bit bigger? I'd be ok with that. But I have also learned that you have to get really elaborate to go over 40k.

I don't think LJ is about to give us bigger icons because it would probably be a major overhaul of their site code. I could be wrong, I'm just guessing.

I like animated gifs as well, but I've had the opposite trouble, I struggle to do what I want with the gif and keep it under 40k.

Thank you - that is an awesome addition for my Firefox.

I can see how a web programmer would benefit from this! Glad you like it. More to come...

Also IE Tab,

IE Tab is another nifty little extension that will actually let you run IE in a Firefox tab. (That's right! But wait, there's more) It puts a little Firefox icon on the status bar and you click it and the page reloads in IE in the same tab and the icon changes to a FF icon. Click it again and it's back to FF. You can also right-click on a link and choose "Open in IE Tab".

Re: Also IE Tab,

I've seen this one before, but was always afraid that the things that wouldn't load/view properly in FF, probably wouldn't do so through FF either. I will give it a try now that you mention it favorably!
