Stage 6
Today is practically a break day in the Tour. Vinokourov, one of the favorites to win the race, had a bad fall yesterday and will be sore for awhile. He lost more than a minute in the overall standings, but it's still early in the race. Tomorrow has the first Category 1 climb, but the worst, the "uncategorized" are yet to come in the Alps and Pyrenees. It's going to be a rough weekend for all.

Speaking of weekends, I'm doing an extra day next weekend which means I'll be doing a 3 day weekend for 3 weeks in a row. Sounds like not-so-much, but believe me, it's not easy. Perspective? No climbs.

We'll see over the next two days. Lots of Cat 1's and HC's (French abbreviation for "no category"). Even if he was the best climber on the tour though, he's beat up with stitches in both knees and an elbow, big hematoma on the right hip. He's probably going to be hurting.

Hurting and sucking wind...I don't think he has the heart to do it. Sadly. Because he has all the Ulrich talent in the world.
