30 minutes on the treadmill between shifts. Allie did 30, too. Oh, the fun we had.

Sometimes (always) temporary agony is vastly better than even joy alone.

I'm glad you guys got out; especially 'twixt shifts.

Tis true. I would not have even made it this far if not for willing partners to suffer with me. I recognize the gym as a place I go for minor (to moderate) suffering in order to feel better the rest of the time.

Sometimes (always) temporary agony is vastly better than even joy alone.

Point taken.

I'm working on doing swimmimg weekely with TOIL Michelle(obsquirity)

Additionally, apparently, Bob Sapp is doing "Joes vs. Pros", which would keep me in another state/nation entirely.

I might try swimming sometime in the future, when I think I can swim more than 1.3 laps without the resultant M.I. I swim like a triple amputee, only not as smooth.

Last season, they had Randy Couture on PvJ and he just wore the skin off the Joes grappling. It was funny!

That is so good! Meanwhile, I just got on the scale this morning and somehow gained 2 pounds. How does that happen?!?!?! Grrr.... Guess I will be 'milling right there next to you today.

Oh. My. Gosh. THE Anne Nahm (not her real name) has just commented in MY journal.

Pardon my moment of celebrity worship, but I totally LOVE reading your journal. You mean, I can read you here in LJ and not have to read you through your syndication? (Which, BTW, it is totally possible that I syndicated it here, I can't remember, but I've done a lot of LJ syndication for stuff out on the Big Intertubes that I like to read.) I noted the links in your journal entries lead to the other site anyway. That's some cool WebMagic!

As for the 2 pounds, as a woman you have a built-in excuse for such minor fluctuations. Use it as needed. And thanks for suffering along side on the grindstone treadmill.

Oh, and how did you find me? Was it web stats from your journal site? Because, I rarely miss reading an entry as soon as it's posted (or within hours). DUH! (hitting my head like the "coulda had a V8" commercials) You looked at the (checking...) 8 people subscribed to the RSS feed and peeked into their journals. I'm ashamed to admit that I just figured that out!

I count myself blessed that I was here before you got too big to visit us "little people"!! ;-)

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a note. It Made My Day!

If it was you who syndicated me, thank you very much! Sorry for peeking, but sometimes I just get curious. If you want to friend me on my LJ account, I read here often. I'm not a big commenter as usually I am reading with a kid hanging in my lap or between piles of laundry, but I love to read. And if not, I am OK with hearing no.

And by 'reading here often' I mean LJ - didn't want to look like I have been stalking you or anything. See - this is why I don't leave comments. I sound like a tool. Or a stalker. Or both. Sheesh.
aspiring2live From: aspiring2live Date: January 23rd, 2008 03:01 pm (UTC) (Link)
Hahahahaha! If you were stalking me, I'd wear it like a badge of honor! I'm 44 and struggling to get down below 280 right now, it'd be awesome to be stalked by a 30 something 'net babe! ;-)

In all seriousness, I will definitely friend you and I understand what you meant in the other comment: And if not, I am OK with hearing no. I, like you, am aware that LJ (and the REST of the Internet) are not real life. If someone adds or drops me, it's not a "Significant Life Event."

Thanks for peeking and responding. I'm all happy now! (see homemade icon of childhood pic)
