Doggies! and a cupcake...
Okay, we got a couple of decent pics yesterday while we were outside and the pups were in their pen. You should refer to the pics in this entry in which I introduced you to our new puppies. We took them to the vet last week and they weighed in at 41 pounds for Buddy and 44 pounds for Jake. They are probably about halfway to their full adult weight. We got tired of them smelling like dirt, because even though they like water and are pretty easy to bathe, they insist on making a bare spot in their makeshift front yard pen and rolling around in the dirt. So, we filled their pen with aromatic cedar, thinking we were smarter than them. We were partly right. They still uncovered a bare spot and roll around to get all dirty, but now they smell good (and clean), at least!

This is Jake...

And here is Buddy.

And here is a picture of Josh, who will turn 5 next month.

Yeah! What you said! Uh, only my wife took the pics, so I will give credit and say, "Well done, Ma'am!"

Nah, I meant in the big picture there. Blue eyed boys with cupcake faces, Golden Retrievers that could star in a Disney movie. You got the life, Sir.

Yeah, I agree completely. Or nearly so. Though, I would caution you against the "grass is greener" syndrome, as I myself sometimes pine for times when I was only responsible for ME!

Three cuties in a row! You are surrounded by cuteness!

We let the lunkhead puppies in last night, and before crating them for the night, we spent about 30 minutes petting on them and basically getting mauled. They still think they are small, so they just clobber you, running into you at full speed, jumping on top of your head. It is painfully funny.

They are growing so fast! I remember seeing pictures of them when they were just puppies... they're DOGS now!

And Josh is uber-cute. :) He looks like a pretty big fella for an almost five year old...? (I guess it's the proportions with the chair back that's giving me that impression.)
