LJ and tags, and life, and stuff...

So, since the introduction of tags for LJ, and since I plan to keep this like, forever, I've begun the task of back-tagging all my entries.  I've completed May (when I started) through August of 2003.  It's slow and tedious, having to read every word of all your entries.  My journal isn't always very interesting, I realize.  I read a journal today that was referred to in a comment to another person on my flist.  It was one of those where I was compelled to read every entry on the page.  Wow, I wish my LJ was that entertaining.

But, I guess I should be happy with what I have.  After all, it comes from me, and is very specifically about things that are important to me.  It's personal.  It helps me deal (cope) and gives me a place to record events significant to me.

I wish the tags could be made invisible.  I don't really want all of my tags to be seen by everybody, because they are for my benefit.  I'm surprised at the limitations the LJ team left in the tagging system.  I guess they know what they are doing, but it seems like it wouldn't have been such a big deal to allow tags to be seen/hidden; especially since they didn't make them so you could designate them private/friends/public.

All-in-all, though, I am very happy to have tags and will eventually get all of my 400-some back entries tagged (Well, the significant ones, that is).

Work the next two nights, then an extra shift Tuesday night in one of the other ICUs.  Pleh.  Bills to pay.

Yard work on brief hiatus, at least until the city finally picks up what we have out front for them already.  Anybody got a full size truck I can borrow?  I need to haul a couple of loads of dirt into my back yard.  Seems the rat tunnels from that infestation last year(?) are collapsing.  Oh, and Duchess, the huntress, frequently digs the random investigative hole, when she's not plotting her next escape from the yard.  Gah!
