(no subject)

I got my new glasses yesterday, just as my old ones were nearly crumbling off my face. They're okay. I am so very nearsighted that I can't get glasses that don't give me 'possum eyes. That is, the lenses make my eyes look small and beady. It's hard to get thrilled about new glasses when such is the case. However, I am adjusting. The first few hours were like wearing a frame that held two ice picks in my eyes as I got used to the new prescription. Yesterday evening was better, today seems better still. It's hard to know for sure, but I think I might have had a mild sinus attack at the same time I got the new eyes. That would help explain the eye pain as well. Of course, I couldn't be so lucky as to have my contact lenses come in the same day. But I was semi-lucky in that he had one of them. Ha.

The gerbils died last week. Well, one of them did. The other one became "sad" and "stopped eating and drinking" and died the same day. Amazing how attached they become to one another, huh? That's my story, anyway. [Truth section: yes one genuinely died and they are known to be very social creatures which cannot survive long alone. Quick death is better than a slow, dwindling one, IMO.]

Dogs are all great. Toby (the newest one, the non-Golden, black, smaller one) has reached his adult size. He weighs approximately 30 pounds. He is an indoor/outdoor dog (as he pleases) and we all love him.

These things are mostly unchanged at this time: work, weight, depression, finances, ad nauseum, ad infinitum. (I probably used those incorrectly.)

Gotta go for now. It's math homework time. More on this later. Really. I promise.
