Started feeling sinusy Friday-ish, just in time for my two nights at work, of course. Friday and Saturday night weren't TOO bad, as in, no one, including me, died. By Sunday morning, it was full on, though. For the last 24 hours I've been on codeine flavored cough syrup (the real deal, yo) or generic Nyquil every 4 hours around the clock.
I can't breathe through my nose, my whole body aches, my skin even hurts to the touch. I've got periodic mild chills, so far nothing really aggressive. I've managed to poke a few bites of food in, not due to hunger but because if I don't, I'll get even weaker.
Now the best news of all: Allie just left for work so I'm Dad the Schoolmaster all day as well as Dad the chew toy, bathroom break, provider of food, doggy parent. In other words, I'm screwed. Fortunately, Charlie sleeps a lot and the boys can feed themselves and should get their work done without KGB style observation. One hopes.
Needless to say, no workout this morning. Dad has an appointment with a homeopathic physician he's been going to see now and again. Hopefully there will be lots of good news. One of the things he's hoping to get help with is a resolution of the left leg issues he's been having on the treadmill. It gets ischemic and goes numb/hurts and starts dragging; possibly related to the harvesting of a vein from that leg for his CABG a few years back. I hope Jade can help him. Yes, that's his real name!
Back to bed. Love all and send good things my way in whatever method you choose (chocolate's always good!)(except when you can't taste it.)
