New word - The Rancho Commons — LiveJournal
Note to self: no whining, no slacking
New word
I coined a word today.

The definition first:
A person on a "low-carb" diet who decides, for whatever reason (like their wife brings home Oreos), to take a brief, yet intense, break from carbohydrate restriction.

The word:
n. Carb i vore, -s
adj. car biv or ous

And don't ask me how I came up with this word.

Heh...that falls into my category "Serving Size--One" falling off the diet wagon (it doesn't matter what it is...a pizza, gallon of ice cream, etc...I'd finish it)

I have laughed about this all day! One pack of Oreos. Sounds innocuous enough, right? It's nice to have friends who struggle in like ways. I appreciate your comments of encouragement and commiseration alike. It gives me hope when I need it.

I likes. :) I've been privy to people just freaking out after too much Atkins..then they go to the bread outlet and cut loose.

A pack of Oreos beats the crap out of bread! Yeah, mostly I can resist without much effort. But Oreos right here on the kitchen counter is of the devil. You have my permission to add this word to your professional lexicon, no fees assessed for usage. ;-)

Okay, good..because I may be a lot of things, but a "word-leaser" isn't one of them. I usually steal mine, or I don't use them at all.

And by the way..mmmm..Oreos..with milk..oh yeah. :)
