After 18 years of marriage, I still learn new things about my wife every day. - The Rancho Commons — LiveJournal
Note to self: no whining, no slacking
After 18 years of marriage, I still learn new things about my wife every day.
Questions my wife has asked me in the last 10 minutes:

Does sidewalk chalk work on chalkboards?

Do you think a woman in Uganda would know how to use a nail file?

Are socks a good gift to include in an Operation Christmas Child shoebox?

Allie is a random question generator.

I get questions like these, seemingly unrelated to any possible life experiences I may have had, every day. I've long since developed the husband filter that allows me to answer and move on in the shortest possible time. Still, I do get annoyed at times. However, now that I know she is a RQG, it will simply be funny.

You know, I would think that sidewalk chalk would work on a chalkboard. Chalk is chalk, right?

My girlfriend's like that too. :)

See, that's when I get irritated, when I find myself going, "I don't know, do Ugandan women worry about their nails the way most American women do?" Doh!

After a time, you realize a significant amount of free thought is being devoted to subjects that will never, ever, impact your life. It's like taking foreign language in school again!

I kind of like it, myself..it's nice to know the girl's always thinking about things. It's kind of like having a book of puzzles all to myself.

He he he...remember: the only stupid question is the one you didn't ask. Asking questions means several things: you are probably one of those people who learns something new everyday (whether it is useful or not is irrelevant), you are intelligent, you think, you want to know what others think, and you are constantly trying to think of new subjects for conversation, etc. this is a GOOD thing. I say, GO ALISON!!! Ask them questions, girl!

re: questions

Thanks for your support! See, the questions make perfect sense to me because I know the "conversation" that is going on in my head! There is a logical progression from one topic to the next, but he doesn't hear that part! You should see the looks he gives me...

Re: questions

i think its COOL to be thinking that way..!!
Altho, when I read the questions I dad laugh to myself, only coz of the way he wrote them down.
wasnt laughing at ya, dontcha know:)

I know that look he gives you..heh.
The way my husband just kinda stops, blinks, makes a face, waits...and just looks at me.

my questions arent ever as imaginative as yours.
Ill keep working on mine.
